Boosts are very important to a good combat outcome. One place to start this is with commander skills. Skills are divided into two types:
- Combat Skills
- Development Skills
For a primary account the only kind of commander skills which are important are the Combat skills. Concentrate on those with your main account only. We will cover how to configure farms later since they are completely the opposite of main accounts.
If you glance at our Troop type table you will notice one pattern that emerges again and again. This pattern is that the front line (Melee) troops are strong in defense but weak in attack. The back line (Long Range) troops are very strong in attack but very weak in defense. The middle row troops are only limitedly proficient at both, but spectacular at neither. What this means is that you always want to use your troops for their main strength and build on that.
Building on that knowledge we must improve the HP (Hit Points) and Defense of the front line troops to make them even better defensively. And we must improve the Attack capabilities of the back line troops to make those your main weapons in combat.
Another goal is to get to the "SOS" (First Aid, combat with no losses) skill as quickly as possible. If you keep all of these goals in mind the best path to configuring your Commander skills is a "Z" pattern in which HP and Defense is always placed on the front line "Melee" troops and Attack is always placed on the back line (Long Range) troops. The result looks like this. For your best results you should reset your commander skills on your primary account to look like this.
Doing this you can reach SOS by commander level 37, and Slaughter by commander level 45.
